What We Do
Building Connections, Creating Impact

June Lake Thrift Store – Community-Powered Giving
The June Lake Thrift Store is located next to the Library, on the bottom floor of the Community Center at Gull Lake Park. Operated entirely by volunteers, the store gives back to the June Lake Loop community by funding student scholarships and awards, holiday events, social programs, and the June Lake Cares initiative, which provides financial support to those in need.
We’re open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. Stop in and say hello to Patti, Al, Mark, Bettina, and the rest of the amazing crew! You’ll find a constantly changing selection of clothing, bikes, skis, sports gear, books, games, electronics, and more.
Donations are welcome—just be sure to drop them off during business hours.

June Lake Cares
June Lake Cares (JLC) is a small committee of Women’s Club members who organize, manage, and distribute support to neighbors in need. This town-based program provides direct financial assistance for basic needs such as rent, utilities, and other essentials. It’s a way for our community to step in and help those impacted by the unique challenges of the Eastern Sierra—seasonal employment, unexpected medical expenses, or other personal hardships—on a case-by-case basis.

Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee is composed of three Women’s Club members who oversee the process of providing tuition support to eligible students. This includes recent high school graduates and adults continuing their education at colleges, universities, or trade schools. The committee creates the scholarship criteria, collects and reviews applications, conducts interviews, and selects recipients. Scholarships are awarded on a case-by-case basis, helping ease the financial burden of continuing education.

The membership secretary maintains current contact information for all members, distributes New Member Packets, and collects annual dues of $10. The committee also helps foster engagement and a sense of belonging within the club.
