1. Scholarship Support
We help local students pursue their educational goals by providing financial scholarships based on eligibility and need.
2. School Support
We support school programs, activities, and parent-teacher groups that enhance the student experience in our local schools.
3. Backing Local Organizations
We offer financial assistance to nonprofits and community groups that serve and strengthen the June Lake area.
4. Community Development
We promote and support initiatives that encourage growth, sustainability, and connection within the community.
5. Beautification & Culture
We support projects that enhance the natural beauty of our area, protect the environment, and celebrate the arts in our community.
6. Direct Assistance & Relief
We provide financial aid to individuals, families, and groups facing unexpected challenges or in need of support.

Our History
Established in 1963, the June Lake Loop Women’s Club (JLLWC) seeks to care for others through community service. JLLWC has always recognized the unique opportunities and challenges of living in this gorgeous but rugged rural environment and has sought to connect members of the community in support, fellowship and responsibility to the area. Our club has a rich history of engaging in fundraising, planning social gatherings, and partnering in advocacy for the area.
One of the very early projects showcasing this history of stewardship was assisting in bringing a common gathering place to the June Lake community, what we now know as the June Lake Community Center building near Gull Lake Park. Groundbreaking happened in 1967 for a projected building cost of $75,000, but the JLLWC had been behind the scenes raising funds and advocating for Mono County support for a few years prior. This building was the culmination of those efforts and houses a community kitchen, small and large multi-use rooms, restrooms, storage areas for multiple local non-profits, a county library, and the Thrift Shop for the JLLWC. All of this was made possible through grassroots fundraising, grant sponsorship through the JLLWC, and working partnership with Mono County.
The Community Center still provides a place today for weddings, receptions, baby showers, holiday events, church services, memorials, community meetings, emergency shelter for warming and/or back-up electricity needs in times of storms and outages, classes for children and adults, summer camps and so much more! The JLLWC is proud to have made such a huge contribution to our community. We have our monthly meetings in the Community Center and continue to utilize it throughout the year to bring people of all ages together for Bingo nights, bake sales, holiday dinners, crafting, and fun.
